New to moving? Not a problem. There are four main steps to our Relocation Process.
The Relocation Process
Step One – Plan Your Move:
• Contact us to get a free estimate by calling 800-784-1289 or filling out our
request form to the right. Have an inventory handy, this will make things a lot
smoother in the long run.
• During your initial estimate, make sure you mention all items that may
need special care and Additional Services you may need.
• You will be given a copy or directed to our Your Rights and Responsibilities
page. The important information provided here will assist you with your
planning process.
Step Four – Unload and Unpack:
• Once unloaded, the crew leader will request your signature on all delivery
documents. In the event of any loss or damage, please note the items
involved on the inventory form prior to signing.
Step Three – Delivery and Payment:
• It’s preferred that you be at your new home to meet your movers. If
necessary have a family member, friend or landlord available to meet your
movers – call your relocation consultant for more information. Your crew
will typically wait up to two hours for your arrival. Should you fail to arrive in
that time, additional Waiting Time charges could occur for your movers to
remain at your new home until you arrive or they may deliver and store your
belongings in a local warehouse.
• Your movers will require payment at your new home. Acceptable forms of
payments are: cash, certified check or traveler's check. A credit card may
be used when arranged in advance – different payment terms will apply.
Step Two – Pack and Load:
• Packing yourself? Pack as much or as little as you prefer. CEH Moving is
willing to do the whole job or any part of the packing job. Whatever you
decide, we want your part of the move process to go as smoothly as
possible. These Packing Tips will help.
• Your packing team will arrive one to two days prior to the actual move
day – depending on the amount of packing needed – and will use the
industry's best packing materials to protect your belongings.
• On your moving day, the crew leader will inventory all items to be
included in your move and provide you with inventory forms for your
signature. Carefully review these documents, along with your other
paperwork.
• After loading, your crew lead will inform you when to expect delivery of
your shipment based on your pre-planned window of delivery. You will also
receive a phone call 24 – 48 hours prior to your delivery as a final
confirmation. Be sure to provide your relocation consultant with your
updated contact information during travel to your new residence.
